I'd rather be happy than wise

I'd rather see the world, with rose tinted eyes

With God in my heart, I feel happy and strong

So I don’t listen to you, when you tell me I'm wrong

They say an abstract god, is only make pretend

And I am just a fool, with my imaginary friend

But as he makes me happy, I won’t turn my god away

And I’ll believe in my best friend, no matter what you say

The atheist looks sad, even though he may be wise

But I would rather keep my friend, than have to dry my eyes

My faith makes me happy, and it keeps the blues away
