Just like everybody else, I thought that talent was enough, but I was wrong. Being rejected seems to be the norm. Self belief is also a problem. When people are nice to me its usually because they want something. Its easy to be conned out of your money by people who have an elaborate scheme to promote your talent, and there are lots of companies and individuals doing just that.
Musical Talent
If people think that you are talented, then they should be the ones who finance the project. You should never give money to a music company, regardless of how well it looks.
Record Deal
Nowadays it seems to be almost impossible to get a record deal. I also know people did succeed only to be disappointed by the result.
Independent Music
It seems to me that the only way forward is to become an Independent, which is what I am doing.
