UNTIL THAT MAN CAME ALONG
Once
I was happy, my life was a dream
But
now everything has gone wrong
One
happy couple, a wonderful team
Until
that man came along
Once
I had romance, a love that was true
The
yearning between us was strong
Two
people sticking together like glue
Until
that man came along
That
man came along, and he’s stolen my wife
And
made me unhappy, for the rest of my life
Like
a thief in the night, he took her away
Now
my future looks gloomy, only grief and dismay
We
would go dancing, then go for a drink
Then
down to the club for a song
Walking
home slowly, our arms we would link
Until
that man came along
She
would start singing, while cooking a meal
And
I would join in with her song
Such
happy moments, so lovely to feel
Until
that man came along
That
man came along, and he’s stolen my wife
And
made me unhappy, for the rest of my life
Like
a thief in the night, he took her away
Now
my future looks gloomy, only grief and dismay
Once
there was a moon, that shined up in the sky
And
stars in the heavenly plane
Once
there was a sky, so beautifully blue
Now
there’s only dark clouds and rain
